PG330 Theories Of Development And Change
| This course/unit introduces students to leading, but divergent theories, paradigms or models of development, underdevelopment and social conflict to better appreciate and understand the development processes and changes in the global economic system and their relevance for post-colonial states and societies like PNG. The BCL mining project and the subsequent Bougainville Conflict will be used as a Case Study to explore and analyze these theories and their applications to contemporary PNG and Melanesia. |
