On successful completion of this unit students will understand the key concepts of resource management with a focus on medical supply management. Students will be able to understand the importance of managing resources efficiently and effectively and the need to ensure the ongoing maintenance of these resources for effective delivery of health services in health care facilities in PNG. 

Professional ethics in workplace is very important. This unit HM203 stress on the importants of ethics and moral issues applied in any organisatin. the indepth of ethics practise in professionalism of in any organisation will be discussed in other lectures that will be presented this semester.

This unit aims to provide students with the understanding of the basic concepts and principles of public finance as well as the guidelines in the preparation of budgets.  Students will examine how health services of PNG are funded including HSIP funding.  They will understand how government economic decisions affect the type of health services are produced, funded and who receives those services.  Students will also acquire the skills to prepare and understand institutional and departmental budgets.

This unit is taught in conjunction with Human Resource Management.  The aim of the unit is to provide students with the knowledge and skills for understanding and effectively managing individuals and groups within health care organizations.  The unit explores various types of theories to explain and predict individual and group behaviour in the work place.
