This Unit deals with Adult Medicine. Topics taught are mainly tropical,life style ,and non infectious/infectious diseases. There are also other medical problems that are also introduced to the students.They are psychiatric and common eye problems a HEO can be able to diagnose and treat. Students spend six weeks in the hospital doing rotations and reinforce what they have learnt in theory.Students are introduced to performing medical procedures,clerking of patients they look after,taking part in ward rounds , doing presentation of patients to the Physician,Registrar and Lecturer concerned. other activities done are taking On Calls and doing activites that are required by the Physician and Lecturer Usually, in the afternoons they come to the main campus for tutorials, lectures and clinical presetations.
